William Morris

Did you know H&M introduced some of Morris’s designs in their clothes this Autumn and many sold out straightaway.

We too have been busy using Morris fabrics on numerous projects this year. In fact I am redecorating my living room at the moment and I will incorporate a Morris fabric in the curtains linking it with a contemporary colour palette. Malcolm my upholsterer is not only recovering the furniture but altering the width and shape to turn a two seater sofa into a three seater corner sofa.

I cannot show you any before and after pictures yet or even a mood board of the chosen designs as my daughter Lucy will see! She is at Falmouth university and wont be home until 3 days before Christmas and we want to surprise her with what we have done while she has been away!

Knitting Group. For over three years we have held a knitting group on Wednesday mornings in the showroom. It is an informal, friendly group who create all sorts of wonderful items. There is always plenty of chatter and giggles, washed down with tea and coffee. Feel free to pop along if you want to take knitting up again or you want to learn how to. My Teddy Bear was 49 recently and he needed a change of clothes and now he has thanks to Jill. I might commission something again next year for his 50th!!!

Family Connections We are working for a client at the moment who has a wonderful home and garden and has kindly commissioned Hatfield Interiors to help assist in the furnishings.
